THE FIRST THREE OUSMANE SOW BRONZES WILL BE SHOWN AT THE DAPPER MUSEUM FROM APRIL 26TH TO JUNE 30TH.
    Ousmane Sow signed the wax for his first bronze last November at the Coubertin Foundry.
He chose the "Dancer with Short Hair" from the Nuba series.
January 2001: the bronze is cast.
 
  Head Caster, Jean Dubois, is more than happy with the result.

   
   

 
  The "Dancer with Short Hair" is identical to the original and measures…

  It will also be available in a scaled down version (Height: 95cm/371/2" which will be finished in April, 2000.  
    Encouraged by the result, Ousmane Sow has decided to make a bronze of the "Mother and Child" from the Masai series.

The bronze will be cast by the Susse Foundry and will be on loan to Didier Imbert for the exhibition at the Dapper Museum.
 
  Finally, at the request of Christiane Faigayrettes-Leveau, Director of the Dapper Museum, and Michel Leveau, Chairman of the Dapper Foundation, the Coubertin Foundry will cast the bronze of the "Standing Nuba" from the Nuba series. This will also be ready for the April 26th opening.
